Self-confidence is the key to a sound personality and success in all areas of life. Children have a high degree of sensitivity and need encouragement in order to learn; they simply want support from their parents and those around them so that they can grow in a balanced way, and a child's self-confidence comes from the support and positive encouragement of others.
Many parents aim to raise their children in a way that builds in them a high level of self-confidence that helps them in life and in integrating into society. While parents' main focus is on strengthening children's self-concept, we find that they also seek to develop a tendency to compete with other children in order to prove themselves, which is of the utmost importance for children's psychological health. It must be noted that parents are the first and highest example and role model for their children in acquiring such traits.
