God Almighty created man with an innate disposition for learning and the capacity for growth and increase by which the sons of Adam were distinguished from the rest of creation; this was embodied in the blessing of the mind, the first and greatest of blessings, through which a servant is guided to his Lord, and through which also the signs and laws that the Creator placed in His universe are known.
Through the innate nature of the mind, the created being infers the greatness of his Creator, and so turns to worshipping his Lord with a desire that drives him to the building up of the earth, and an awe that urges him to direct his behaviour towards pleasing his Master (innate learning). In this type of learning, the individual's natural abilities grow in a balanced way, enabling him to make use of the abilities God has placed within him and to invest them in a way that benefits him first and his society second.
Education is part of the social system concerned with preparing the individual who contributes positively to building his society, so that he may live with dignity, giving back to his society as much as he takes. And since a nation is made up of groups of individuals, it is truly the case that behind every great nation lies a great education.
