Jealousy is the common factor in many of children's psychological problems, meaning by that the pathological jealousy that is destructive for the child, and which may be a cause of his frustration and exposure to many psychological problems.
Jealousy is one of the natural feelings present in children, like love, and the family must accept it as a fact of life.
Jealousy in children is an instinct and a nature, so educators should be gentle with them to prevent conflict and strife, and jealousy should also be harnessed to perform good deeds, such as preserving the safety of our property and the cleanliness of public property. There is no harm in feeling jealous, but the danger lies in letting blameworthy jealousy control our behaviour. Competitiveness appears in a child when he takes the initiative to improve his work in order to excel and distinguish himself from his peers, and it is praiseworthy when it is combined with cooperation, humility and love.
