Methods for Nurturing Gifted Students Training Kit
A kit on the basic concepts of giftedness and why nurturing gifted students matters, covering methods for identifying them in basic education and Saudi Arabia's efforts and models for their care.
Today, creativity and innovation have become essential in enabling students to face the challenges of the future, including the new scientific specialisations it brings, and to keep pace with global changes and the technological development we witness daily, which requires adapting school curricula to suit the digital technology revolution
Creativity: defined as ideas characterised by being new and useful and linked to an optimal solution to certain problems, or to developing methods or goals, or deepening a vision, or gathering or recombining known patterns in administrative behaviours into distinctive and advanced forms that propel their owners forward.
Innovation as a term is not agreed upon in a single formulation; rather, each definition touches on or focuses on one of its facets in general. Creativity is the production of something new that others see or hear. It is also finding relationships between things that had never before been said to be related.
A society surrounded by risks is always exposed to having its decisions made and controlled by the problems posed by the contemporary world: decisions that can by no means rely on anything certain, with the result that doubt advances into every field to invade the rational world that is largely dominated by the machine. At present, it cannot be asserted that a single decision has been reached that offers the individual or social life viable alternative solutions.
