Etiquette is an art like the other arts. It is highly refined behavior, self-respect, respect for others, and good dealings with them, or socially accepted conduct. It is therefore a refined concept with a humane and civilized substance, for civilization is not a palace, a luxury car, or mere adornment of face and dress, but first and foremost refined human conduct.
What Is Etiquette
Etiquette is the art of "good character traits" or "highly refined behavior". Its rules concern manners, ethics, and good qualities.
It includes written and unwritten rules and principles that govern courtesies, precedence, and various official and social occasions, parties, and banquets. These rules reflect upright character that combines refinement, simplicity, and beauty.
