Description

Academic stress is one of the challenges that can affect a university student's experience and their ability to adapt to the demands of study, examinations, and varied tasks. Awareness of the sources of these pressures and their effects helps develop more effective methods for dealing with them, and enhances students' ability to face academic challenges with awareness and balance.

The kit provides a training framework combining awareness, application, and evaluation, through identifying the sources of academic stress and their effects, and developing coping and self-guidance skills among students. It also provides practical activities and tools that help the trainer deliver comprehensive counselling content supporting students in dealing with academic challenges and improving their educational experience.

Objectives

  • Identify the most prominent sources of academic stress faced by university students and their various effects.
  • Analyse the impact of academic stress on performance and adaptation to university life.
  • Apply counselling approaches that help students deal with stress effectively.
  • Use practical activities to develop coping and self-guidance skills in students.
