Training Kit on Developing Creative Behaviour Among Gifted Students
Education for the purpose of developing behavioural skills and creative thinking has become a strategic goal in developed countries, as it enables the learner to deal efficiently and effectively with the knowledge explosion and with the variables of the contemporary world, which relies on creative behaviour, creative thinking, and problem solving as a basis for progress and civilisational development.
Creative Thinking
It is the mental process we use to arrive at new ideas and insights, or which leads to combining and composing ideas or things previously considered unrelated.
Steps for Integrating Creative Behaviour Skills into Teaching Gifted Students
Integrating creative thinking strategies into teaching means integrating direct instruction in certain thinking skills while teaching curriculum units and lessons for all subjects, such that these lessons improve the way students think in the future, and enhance the process of learning the subject content.
Integration takes place through two stages:

The first: integrating behavioural and creative thinking skills into course curricula:
The Ministry of Education's course curricula in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have been designed in a way consistent with integrating behavioural and creative thinking skills into the study content, and therefore these skills are often stated explicitly as categorise, observe, compare, arrange, evaluate, imagine, deduce, link, etc., as basic or compound skills.

The second: integrating behavioural and creative thinking skills during teaching:
This means enabling the teacher to activate the behavioural and creative thinking skills that have been integrated into the course curricula during the teaching process, such that the content is presented while stimulating students' thinking according to the skill contained in the content. This calls on the teacher to identify the skills contained in the content, and then he must encourage his students to use them effectively.
