Description

Modern legislation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen to organise the rules related to public employment, through the Saudi Labour Law and civil service systems that clarify the public employee's rights and duties and the prohibitions they must avoid, as individuals do not accept working in the government sector except in pursuit of the benefits and rights granted to them in return for their commitment to these duties.

These benefits and rights represent a means of attracting cadres towards government work, being the counterpart to the duties and obligations placed upon the employee, and achieving job stability and enhancing the principles of governance in the government sector gives the employee a sense of security and preserves their rights from tampering or domination, which this training kit seeks to establish among trainers and supervisors.

Objectives

  • Identifying the legislative framework of the Saudi Labour Law and civil service systems related to public employment.
  • Identifying the public employee's rights, duties, and the prohibitions they must avoid according to applicable systems.
  • Applying governance principles in the government sector in a way that enhances transparency and job discipline.
  • Analysing the impact of job stability on employee performance and protecting their rights from domination or arbitrariness.
  • Contributing to developing a balanced government work environment that takes into account both the employee's obligations and benefits.
